Ahmed Nawaz, who miraculously survived a terrorist attack in Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of England.

"It is an honor for me to be awarded an honorary doctorate by Coventry University," he said.
Ahmed Nawaz said that it seems unrealistic to be awarded such a prestigious honor at this age!
Ahmed Nawaz also said that another victory has been achieved against extremism, I will try to go further.
A statement issued by the university also congratulated Ahmed on his incredible achievement.
Ahmed Nawaz had earlier been elected president of the Oxford University Debating Society Oxford Union.
It should be noted that Ahmad Nawaz was 14 years old at the time of the attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar in 2014.
Ahmed had managed to save his life by pretending to be dead at the time of the school attack while he had witnessed the horrific incident of setting fire to his teacher.
Ahmed suffered several injuries to his arm, after which he was treated exclusively at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Ahmed Nawaz was treated by British doctors after which he returned to a healthy life and then started studying in London.
Ahmed Nawaz has been awarded the Kingston Palace Global Legacy Award 2019 by Prince William of Great Britain.
In November two years ago, Ahmed Nawaz announced on the social networking site Twitter that he would be awarded the Asian Inspiration Award at the South Asia Youth Summit in Colombo.
Ahmed Nawaz has also been awarded the Asian Inspiration Award at the South Asia Youth Summit in Colombo for promoting peace and empowering the youth of Cuba.
