According to a recent medical study, drinking more water helps the heart to function properly and to supply the right amount of blood to the vital organs of the body. The risk of heart failure can be reduced.

Experts further said that drinking an adequate amount of water throughout life not only helps vital organs function properly but also reduces the chances of pre-existing diseases in the future.

In this regard, the research team reviewed a number of clinical measures on how hydration (the presence of an adequate amount of water in the body) is linked to heart disease.

The study, published in the European Heart Journal, found that heart failure is a condition in which the heart fails to supply enough blood to meet the body's needs.

According to the study, 6.2 million people in the United States were affected by this condition.
