The way in which the government has avoided facing a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister is unprecedented in our political and constitutional history and as a result of this move, the country is facing a serious constitutional crisis. Opposition leaders called the matter a serious violation of the Constitution and demanded that the Chief Justice take notice of it.
