No-confidence motion cannot be avoided. Don't take unconstitutional, illegal action: Attorney General Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Attorney General Khalid Javed called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Prime Minister's House. The Prime Minister consulted him on legal matters. The Attorney General advised the Prime Minister not to take any unconstitutional action. The Attorney General said that the no-confidence motion could not be postponed any further. According to sources, the Attorney General had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday to discuss the constitutional and legal issues related to the no-confidence motion filed by the joint opposition. The Attorney General has advised the Prime Minister not to take any unconstitutional and illegal action and said that you cannot be the Prime Minister on the success of the no-confidence motion. In the light of the orders, why should any of you be a member of National Assembly even if he belongs to PTI? Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan held consultations with his kitchen cabinet yesterday in which the final consultation on the no-confidence motion was held. Sources said that 6 to 8 ministers attended the kitchen cabinet meeting. In which it was suggested that the Speaker should adjourn the proceedings of the Assembly for some reason or another. The Speaker either did not correct the counting during the voting or made some other excuse. Slogans should be chanted and pressure should be exerted, besides, constitutional institutions should be pressured to support PTI while those conspiring against the government should be prosecuted under Article 6. Opposed to take legal action, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the Attorney General and the Speaker to assert his position. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had also sent a no-confidence motion to the President The Prime Minister directed the Speaker to convene the next assembly session one month after the vote of no confidence and the new president. He directed me to continue my work till the election of the Prime Minister. According to sources, it was decided in the meeting that PTI would bring the workers to Islamabad.
