 Rawalpindi: A formation commanders conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in which a briefing was given on professional matters and national security challenges. According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference participants were briefed on how to deal with traditional and non-traditional threats. According to ISPR, the forum took note of the campaign to create division between the institution and the society. The formation commanders took the position that the purpose of this propaganda is to create a gap between the society and the institution, Pakistan's national security is paramount. The Formation Commanders Conference took the position that the Pakistan Army would always stand by the state institutions without any compromise. The formation commanders expressed full confidence in the decisions of the military leadership for the supremacy of the constitution and law, and supported the best decisions of the military leadership for the rule of law at all costs. On this occasion, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan Army is aware of its responsibilities, Pakistan Army will defend Pakistan in all circumstances under all internal and external threats. In the most important meeting of the formation commanders, a clear message was given by the Pakistan Army that the army will abide by the constitution and law, no matter what happens, the army will never compromise on national security. The Chief of Army Staff appreciated the mechanism of tackling the emerging challenges of the formation and expressed satisfaction over the operational readiness of the formation. The formation commanders expressed full confidence in the military leadership's decision to uphold the constitution and the rule of law at all costs. The Pakistan Army is aware of its responsibilities and will continue to defend Pakistan's territorial integrity and sovereignty against all internal and external threats in all circumstances.
